Excuses, excuses will not do! Well this was my first attempt to take pictures with my new Huawei P30. The light was going down in the late afternoon and it was just a case of taking shots of what was there in the circumstances that appertained. A lot more to learn about photography with this new phone.

An excellent image of two graceful swans swimming past, with their more dowdy cousins in the background. Your mobile has handled the whites well and also captured the ripples in the water.

I like the water movement and the shimmer of light with the subjects...

You're ahead of me David - I don't have a mobile with a good camera yet so I have much to learn too.

Thanks your kind comment Kate. I would not be surprised if DSLRs were out of fashion by 2030 if not 2025. David

Looks ok to me David. If I was been critical I'd offer the advice I was given many years ago that being at eye level with your subject often makes for a stronger wildlife image. Easier said than done! River banks are often raised and dropping to ones knees isn't always ideal. Additionally, it can become harder to then control the background. Still, I know you are looking for ideas to improve, so perhaps food for thought?

Quite right Adam. In this shot I was standing on a slipway by the rivers edge. And these days sadly if I bend down that is where I will stay! David
