  • Posted on: OM System OM-1 Camera & Two New High Performance Lenses Announced - Last Camera To Feature 'Olympus' Branding

Your main features list incorrectly states, In camera focus stacking 3 to 99 shots.
The Olympus web-site confirms, focus bracketing 3-999 shots,
In camera focus stacking 3-15 shots (same as EM1 mrk 2/3)

"We would most likely customise this to give us quicker access to white balance, as we found that we ended up having to go into the menus to adjust this (alternatively we could customise the Q Menu to give us quicker access)."
The unmarked function button near the evf (viewmode on other Fuji models) is White balance as default setting.

  • Posted on: Sigma 16mm, 30mm & 56mm F/1.4 Lens Review By David Thorpe

Your specs are incorrect the 56mm weighs 280g, the 30mm 265g, and the 16mm 405g.

I recently purchased the 56mm and 30mm, @ 309.00 and 219.00 respectfully, "used" in as new condition, these lenses are a great buy, with nice build quality and balanced ergonomics on my G9.

I was tempted by the 16mm @ 329.00, but felt the PL 15mm F1.7 the better overall option, unless you really value the extra 1.4 aperture and large manual focus ring, however, the Panasonic lens has the advantage of being smaller, much lighter @ 115g, and has a manual aperture ring, all @ similar (used) price to the Sigma. The 16mm for micro 4/3 gives a slightly non-coventional (35mm equiv.) of 32mm, beacause these lenses are based on the design for APSC format (ie. 35mm equiv. = 24mm) which also explains the size/weight.

  • Posted on: Olympus PEN E-PL9 Full Review

You state (in various places) in this hands on review the new EPL9 has 5 axis and 3 axis image stabilisation, surely it must be one or the other, not both?
Nice sleek looking body, otherwise a very predictable, uninspiring and expensive upgrade to 4K.

Would be good to have some info. about the focus bracketing feature, ie. compared to Olympus EM10 mrk II?

I feel a 3:2 aspect ratio for the EVF would be a better compromise for 16:9 video/4:3 stills.

it would be helpful to know what functions the touch-screen has ie; touch focus/shutter?
or just for selecting general menu settings?
first sony camera with touch-screen I"ve seen,
could be useful as a second (smaller/lighter) body to my a6000.

  • Posted on: Panasonic Lumix GF7 Review

Much nicer design than recent GF series cameras, bit smaller/lighter too (battery life is compromised though, 200ish shots is poor, and Panasonic batteries are pricey, same as GM5 - 50)
Panasonic UK list colour options; Silver & Black or Silver & tan, no Black or White as you state?
I think the Silver back of camera (picture) looks a bit cheap/plastic how does it look in reality?
