Underneath TIme

Like to hear your thoughts on this one.

It's part of a Lingerie shoot - working closely with two models. This is the models favourite - although there are more to follow that are mine.

Hi Jude.

I wonder if you were intentionally aiming for this particular look? The image has a very narrow tonal range, with most of the image data bunched in the middle of the histogram, and theres also a colour cast, yellow/green, making it look somewhat like an old Polaroid? You can take a look at the levels in Photoshop and see what Im talking about.

You have missed a couple of spots when you were softening the skin which stand out; around her lips, and a few patches on the chest. They become obvious simply because the rest has been smoothed.

The composition has her much too close to the left side, and would look better with more space on that side.

I have downloaded this and performed a modification I can foeward to you if you are interested. Just send me a PM (personal message) and I will respond.
If its intended to look the way it does, let me know, - I will check back later.

regards

Willie

Thanks - yes, I intentionally went for this look - working closely with my model and what she wanted. Tonal range - yes I am aware - processed in both Aperture and Photoshop. It's something different - working with clients rather than giving them what WE think they should want - she's well used to seeing instagram images.
Thank you for taking the time to comment.

My model has bought prints of this for Christmas - and is very pleased with the other images - as is my second model - which quite frankly I can't be bothered to upload now. Careful or photography is going to be left standing as a pure stuffy hobby- got to move with the times - technology will take the lead.
