In mythology, the dryads are female spirits of nature who preside over the groves and forests. Each one is born with a certain tree over which she watches. The lives of the dryads are connected with that of the trees, should the tree perish, then she dies with it. If this is caused by a mortal, the gods will punish him for that deed.

The picture is a close up of my eye with the rest done in Elements. Thanks for looking and everybody have a great weekend.

After reading your description Tracy, all I can say is I'm glad I'm not a lumberjack ! LOL.

This is a fantastic creation and I see you even managed to add a touch of blue. Excellent.

This is a stunning image, one that cannot be passed by. It's probably that eye that captivates. I like your manipulation and reference to the dryads, it adds magic, and the colour is beautiful.
Watching the Forestry tree fellers will now conjure up entirely different feelings. I know they have to do it but several of those trees have been "friends" !!
