A lovely old trade, and so nice to see it carried on in the original surroundings.
You'd have thought he would have been well heeled? Like you.
Nice to see the old skills lasting into the 21st century.

Have you heard the news? It seems Moira is a Mere Mortal Danny.

A smashing environmental/industrial portrait, perfectly lit and very detailed without detracting from the man himself. Lovely b&w.

Only one plaster on his hand, surprised there aren't more. Real work, a real craftsman.

I recall the smell of leather when I was a kid Danny,
from the cobblers just down the road from me.
And the smell of Cherry Blossom shoe polish too.
A stinker of a shot here !!
Good one.

How I wish we still had cobblers instead of the "made in ...." knockoffs of plastic and glue that don't last a month.

Are there any cobblers still working, I wonder, Danny? An excellent capture. Carol

A cobbler is a type of loaf...very tasty. Speaking of which, a tasty image of an expert plying his trade, DAn.
Where was this taken? The signs are not English, neither BBC not the Queen's.

We still have a cobblers shop in Hexham...our nearest market town. He also cuts keys etc.
