Working the land

By danbrann
Yesterday I had a ride over to my favourite location and I found John just about starting to work the Land with three of their Clydesdales...Ross, Teddy and Jimmy. It was a most beautiful day and such a wonderful sight. How luck I was to stumble across it.

For any of you who don't know this farm is farmred only by horses. They do not possess any mechanical machinery.

Three big horses working in unison, if only the union was as steady.
Great image Danny glad you arrived in time for this wonderful image.

These are among my favourite uploads from you Danny.
Hard working guys and horses.
I honesty think they should be on the telly as to how they farm without using any machinery !!

A wonderful capture of the way it used to be and how hard life was and still is for this fellow. Just imagine how many steps he must take in a day. How lucky to have such a beautiful sky.

Great and well composed image, Danny. Particularly nice to see the three horses, as you say, a beautiful day which has yielded a lovely sky. I dare say there is an equally good mono image in there too.

Yes Nigel there is a reasonably good black and white and a sepia to be had but I believe in only showing one image per day. Thank you for taking the time to mention it.
