colours look good in this one, (to me anyway), could do with a touch of sharpening, but not too much.

There doesn't seem to be much wrong with this image from a camera/lens point of view. Certainly nothing that can't be put right with a little post processing.
It is a touch dark (on my monitor at least) and could do with a little boost of contrast. Some would say clone out vapour trails etc, but that is personal opinion.
Compositionally I feel that an alternative view could have been taken from a little further back in portrait mode? The foreground grasse are nice and I like the line of willows leading to the fen, but I feel that the bush on the right is too dominant. The fens can be very beautiful in a strange way, but as there's not a lot of land with bumpy bits there you may find you have to concentrate on the sky a bit more. For that, you will find the 300D will excel!
