Throwing Punches

By danielle1987
A slightly different image to my usual style. I was asked by a friend to attend a Martial Arts Fair held at the Seaburn Centre in Sunderland and this is one of the images I took.

I had masssive difficulties with this venue as it was in a large hall but covered in red curtains and lit artificially I couldnt get the shutter speed at anything more than 125/sec at f5.6 with an ISO of 800.

I wanted to keep the speed as quick as possible to reduce motion blur. Any hints/tips on my settings and advice are greatly appreciated.

settings seem to have done you proud no visable noise. Its fst and furious at these events but movement adds to the shots. watch the feet they move at great speed the smaller guy I would think was fast on his feet whilst the larger lad had good relex and fast hands but thats supasition, you have to shoot like crazy and delete when you can.

Thanks Delboy I do have some movement in them, there was a bit of noise but I used the noise reduction in cs2 and it seems to have done the job! This one I think i managed to get brighter too because of the white outfits in the ones where they are wearing black ists a different story.
