Nice shot but the sight of the rubbish around this unique bird makes me sad.

Why is it that over 90% of the flower pictures is uploaded by women?

Nice picture, very tranquil, pleasant place. I hope to have the chance to go to such places in the near future.

Good picture, I especially like the warm colours of the background in the lower half of the picture and the sharpness of the dragonfly.

  • There are some really amazing pictures in this portfolio. I will return later on to see more of your art.
  • You have some really breathtaking images, Freja. Apparently, your own breath has also been taken away, at least as much as I can see in your self-portray. Smile
  • I like your latest pictures much more than the piecemeal montages you uploaded earlier. I especially like the dragonflies and butterflies you uploaded, which happen to be my favourite subjects as well. Looking forwad to seeing further pictures of your making.

  • Dear Anthony:
Many-many thanks for your wonderful comments regarding my improvement as of late. Your pictures are just stunningly beautiful, and emit an air of professionalism and know-how. Regarding your question, I use the free software that I got with my Olympus digital camera a month ago to modify my images, and since I am a relative beginner in photography (I started out in January, this year), it is perfectly sufficient and elaborate enough for the time being. However, in the long run, I am planning to acquaint myself with PhotoSjop as it is reputed to be superiour to most other manipulation software.
I hope I can share further experiences with you as time goes by, and we might even want to exchange occasional photos by e-mail in full size, given mutual interest.
    Kind regards:
  • Dear Anthony:
Thanks very much for your comments about my picture. Till two ays ago, I had no idea that I can actually mofify (manipulate) the pictures with my computer. I had always used my raw images. However, now that I discovered this feature of the Olympus software I got with my new camera, I set the saturation to the maximum in about 130 of my best natue photographs, and adjusted the tone and light, too. I believe I went into extremes as you pointed out, too. The penduluim, however, thanks to your comment and some other people's comments, is now going to swing back and hopefully settle at the right poise. I am currently enjoying the striking colours but I agree that they are exaggerated. Your photos are extremely artistic and well-composed. They could all pass as postcards. Lovely work!
