Nicely done! Been trying to get a shot like this, i don't know how everyone can just capture the water itself and not the cup etc! Is it just a case of cropping it? Also what exposure time was this? Was it 1/2000?

Mark - I filled my sink and then left the tap dripping steadily. I was able to anticipate the drip and just focussed where I was expecting it to fall, the sink big enough not to ned to crop.

I used flash so set the shutter to 1/250.

love the almost metallic liquid steel effect it is nice to see you resisted the need to colour it in some way and I think it looks great.

There has been several of these lately, this is one of the better ones. Hav'nt tried it myself, but would imagine it's very hit& miss.
Did it take many shots before you got it right?

Pricey, I took about 25, there's a few more on my website and there were a number of duplicates. I focused on the steady stream of water as I was filling the sink and so knew where the drop would fall then left a steady drip and just clicked when I thought it was time.

There may have been lots of them but they continue to be fascinating. This is a superb example. It looks like you've got some dust marks or something though, particularly around the base of the column of water. A minute or two in PS should sort that out though.
