Into Battle

I went to Cosford Air Show at the weekend, but as I'm still going through all the images I shot, here is one from a few years ago.
It's a replica Nieuport 17.
V2 is the original and V3 is a sepia toned mono version which is halfway towards V1 which has a cloudy sky blended in and grain added.
It may not be everyone's cup of tea but to me it has more drama and mood than the original Smile

I agree.

V1 has a feel of the past, and the dark skies that the original flew through. I seem to recall that the average WW1 fighter pilot expected to live for three weeks.

Maybe more glamorous than the trenches, but even more deadly.
