Brantwood Bride - Not

By dathersmith
I've had a Brantwood Bride shot in mind for some time now where I'd have a bride in her wedding dress on Brantwood Jetty with a lovely sunset in the background. Well, trying to organise a bride and a sunset is not easy but last night I had my friends daughter who got married recently as a willing bride but the sunset failed to show :-(

Determined to go ahead with the shoot we switched to Plan B. There actually wasn't a Plan B so I quickly thought of one, Monk Coniston Jetty with a moody sky.

I'm pretty happy with the shot and Steph loves it so I can't ask for much more other than to know what the consensus on here is Wink

I remeber you telling me about your plans for this Darren and I'm sorry that Plan A didn't work. However, I'm also glad because I think this is even better than your original idea. Steph's pose is full of attitude and the exposure for her dress is bang on. I think the moody sky just brings it all tiogether just nicely thank you very much and bring all the attention exactly where it should be, on Steph. A fabulous sunset (do they exist up there? Wink) might have competed too much so for me this is fabulous Smile

Looks good to me Darren, like the whites against the darkness of the sky.

Like it a lot Darren, one comment is the flash power looks strongwer in the bottom half of her, I would prefer some more on her face, maybe using a second flash or lifting the flash to head hight, you may lose some FG detail, however that may help give a vignette effect leading the eye in.
