Following on from my Derwentwater shots I decided to use my 24-120 lens more, it's too easy to get into using the good old 10-20 Sigma for everything but sometimes a bit more reach is needed. So on Sunday afternoon I had a walk to Kelly Hall Tarn with the 24-120 attached to my D300, determined to use it and not put the Sigma on.
The tarn makes for a good shot but Coniston Old Man in the distance with a topping of snow just had to be included. I decided to step back from the tarn, zoom in to use it in the foreground and capture the Old Man and its reflection as the focal point. I'm quite pleased with the result and would love to know your thoughts. Hopefully you'll agree that the 10-20 is good but isn't the only lens for landscapes
Thanks for looking.
Darren.
