Not a cloud in the sky this morning saw me get off my backside, get a flask of hot oxo filled, into the shoulder bag along with the SX50 then away to the bus stop and wait for the Newbiggin bus which was bang on time.
Got off the bus then straight onto the beach. Took a couple of shots, the first facing southwest
and the next south east toward St. Bartholomews Church and the new heritage centre which opened in 2012.
Back onto the prom for a shot of the flag above the lifeboat station which was the first ever purpose built lifeboat house in the country way back in 1851.
It was then along the prom making my way to the car park then to the church.
When crossing the car park I noticed a couple of gulls sitting on a lamp. As I composed the shot, a third gull came into view sailing toward me.
St. Bartholomews Church, built in the 12th century.
A little further on A gull landed on the celtic cross above the roof. I zoomed the camera and when focused, my first thought was "Holy ****"
Not much else to take apart from the weather ****
......a south east wind today.
It was then back to the bus stop for the return home
