Old and new.
Took the push bike out for a short journey to Lynemouth to take a pic of the old windmill. Built in 1851 and stopped milling in the early twentieth century. Up until 1973 it was starting to become derelict until the Alcan company purchased the surrounding land and buildings.
A mile to the west is the site of thirteen other wind powered structures .... turbines
.... only four visible in this pic though!
It's a pity visibility was a bit on the downside. on a clear day the Simonside hills can be seen some twenty miles away across open countryside.
