A return to the damp stuff.
After a rest from splashing about for a couple of days I decided to break out the splash art kit yesterday. The images I took were spot on splash wise but oh dear me the quality was in some doubt. I found out that the polariser I was using was absolutely filthy ..... after the shoot!
Carried on today and had some decent results using the SX50. Had both flash guns on the lowest power settings and the results were dramatically over exposed, that's the reason for using the polariser, dropped things down by two stops.
The other drawback with using the SX50 is that the delay between activating the splash art drop release button and the camera firing is too long for the camera delay button on the control box to cope with. The only way out of this was to have the drop reservoir at he very top of the retort stand which in turn was standing on four tins of beans for added height ....
It works fine ....
...... Looks like I'll be using the SX50 a lot more for this lot.
