....... the first shots from my new camera..... an Olympus OMD M-5 Mk ll.
first impressions are favourable, handles well, can’t wait for further fun with it. The hi-res mode seems worth a try next I think. Maybe the morn if the weather is favourable.

Awake early……

……. this morning. Sitting having a coffee and staring at the teaspoon I’d used an idea sprang to mind, why not try a bit of low key work thought I. Out came the gear, Olympus OMD 10 Mk 2 with an Olympus 60mm macro lens attached. Hat a few tries using...

Another day…..

…… another Kevin. Number 2 in a series featuring Kevin, this time during a doggie “hello", he carries a never ending supply of dog biscuits to give a treat to all the dogs he meets on his travels. Once again a bit of background replacement using Aff...

Compositing....

Been a while since I’ve shared a blog or two. A few years ago I started to produce composite images, mainly of dried vegetables and locusts etc. I did dabble in more complicated stuff but lost interest. After looking though some of the old stuff I’ve...

Super sparrow! Beautifully sharp, lovely bokeh. Interested to hear how you get on with the hi-res mode. But most of all, enjoy!

I got to try this camera once, loved it but never sussed high res - lots of images taken together was the idea i thought - so might need a tripod/short shutter speed / slow moving target? But never sussed it Sad

Thanks you three.
Stuart, Olympus reccomend shooting still images with a tripod using the high res mode, I’ve looked at tutorials on YouTube and this method seems to work with running water. It’s worth a try I think, it’ll save using ND filter. I’ll give it a test at the seaside when I get down there. Can’t see me using this much, the resolution is good enough at 16 million pixels.
