...... started without a cloud in the sky, checked the air traffic with the app. flight radar. I had a few minutes before the 09:10 Easy Jet flight from Belfast was due overhead on its approach to Newcastle airport. Time to make a coffee then sit in the yard and wait. Got the Canon SX50 out of mothballs and sat outside ready for the fly past. Sure enough I had timed things perfectly, the sound of the engines gave me the sign to get ready. A few seconds later the plane appeared over the rooftops and I managed a shot or two of the plane at a height of around 2000 ft..........
..... finished the coffee and decided to have a pedal to the park. As the SX50 was already in my hand I decided to take it with me.
Just got settled listening to the chatter of birds and taking a couple of shots .........
....... the sky started to cloud over. Sure enough things got darker and the first drops of rain hit me...... time to vamoose back home before things became worse. Made it back just in time before the heavens opened........ lucky.
