Well here goes with the pics and story from yesterdays excursion to the library in Newbiggin.

The journey begins wating at the stop for the Newbiggin flyer which can be seen heading toward me. Only two minutes late..... not bad.
Pleased to get on board and to feel the heat warming me through after the wait at the stop. A fifteen minute trip and arrived at Newbiggin, then off for the short walk to the library, which can be seen fifty yards straight ahead, then up to the entrance. ( no pics allowed inside). By the way the building used to be a Junior school years ago.2.jpg.

. After the walk to the church, the cold and my age took hold so had to pay a visit. After the relief, a short walk to the bus stop for the return journey back to sunny Ashington, did'nt wait long.
I,m now back in the library in Ashington to upload this blog. I've previewed it and think I need to enhance my skills on the formatting side of things. I'm ok at taking pics but oh dear me not much of a clue about presentation I'm afraid. Things can only get betterGrin
Thought I would mention I'm sitting here with a camera bag, tripod, packed lunch and my bus pass waiting to start another trip..... this time to Thropton via Morpeth. If I've time tommorow I'll be here again to upload my adventure. The weather and the forecast look good so off I'm going in ten minutes timeTongue

Well Dave, I waited in anticipation - and I am not disappointed. I see from these the potential in a photo journey.

You talk as though you are a complete novice at photography, but clearly these images belie this. They are well composed with good exposure . I take your point about the presentation in this context. I think the biggest problem here is simply isolating each individual image, especially where they appear right next to each other. This is an easy thing to sort though. Simply put a white border around each one. ofcourse you can always make it more sophisticated and add a white border within a black mount. To see what I mean take a look at this image of mine. This effect is really simple. I actually did this on the free software "iPiccy", available to use directly on the web at their website. Simply load up your image, double click on it to edit and then go to the last tab which is all the various border effects.

many apologies if I am teaching my granny to suck eggs.
