I'd be tempted in this situation to step back ever so slightly, take it from higher up so the angle of the feathers to the focal plane was not so oblique and concentrate on a few of the "eyes". While this is pretty, the top 1/3 to 1/2 of the frame is not doing anything composition-wise.
