Karen

By Dave87
Been through a few world wars this shot of Karen. Started life as a slide that got left on my desk and made it through three weeks of hovering in this house. Held it up to the light this afternoon and looked a bit dusty so like a complete **** - I blew on it and made it even worse. Then I rubbed it on my tee-shirt and must say - what a mess. Then I washed it in the sink and dried it with the dearest wifeís hairdryer for a quick result - some girls never clean the air filter on their hairdryers!! Have no fear because fairy liquid and a bowl of warm water was near. After being allowed to dry naturally - scanned it - then uploaded it. Three clicks to the first person to say - why did you bother Dave!!

Thanks a bundle for looking and wish you a great day tomorrow.

Dave.
PS. Used an imitation animal skin because - I love animals.

Really good portrait, Dave, I like the bit of mystery imparted by the half-concealed eye. I'm very glad you did bother with the recovery process.
Imitation fur it may be, but Karen is real, though, unless my eyes deceive me.

Great story, but definitely worth it as it represents a beautiful and, critically, natural portrait with great colour and skin tones.

She washes up well Dave. Lovely face, nice teeth, and looking very seasonal. A smashing pic' of a lovely looking young Lady. Was it worth it?------------------------------------ Yeah!!!

All the best to you Dave, and by the way, Julies hair dryer almost blew up on Friday, plenty of black smoke and smell. ( Another none cleaned filter I suspect.)

This picture reminds me very much of a picture that David Bailey took of Mick Jagger.

Excellent picture, well worth the effort.

a real beauty, love the expression and eye contact.
Your story made me laugh, glad you made the image 'clean' sounds like a story my husband would tell. Only his involved two very expensive lenses rolling of the pier into the water! Not a happy chap that day.

Such a beautiful face and the detail in the fur is outstanding, don't know how I missed this one Dave, think I will put my shots on slides and wash them in fairy liquid if this is the result Wink
