I think that it is the incongruous romantic pose and old setting, plus the bw treatment, which gives this such great appeal.

Agree; added to the fact that they appear to be ignoring each other!

I love the way he is leaning past the naked girl to see/be seen ..................... she is almost an inconvenience.

Yes, it has the appeal of one of those old dutch interiors, were there seems to be much more going on than meets the eye. The lighting is perfect, as is the tonal range.

Thanks everybody for your kind comments and clicks on the biker and girlfriend. Always very much appreciated. It was taken in Kent Bernie.

Gives me the feel of 'the 1890's meets the 1980's'.. would have made two real good pictures. Same setting, with The girl on her own, and then the guy on his own. Having said that, like the pic, content and i believe you've captured the light perfectly... nice one Dave.

Thank's for that John - but me scanners broke.

Just come back from hols (notice the rain and floods) and the bloody thing has stopped working. Spent nearly a day reloading the software three times and taking it to bit's - no joy.

Hope to be back on line soon.

Thanks Dave.

I see I clicked on this earlier, but didn't leave a comment - probably one of my rushed days. Lovely use of light and nicely composed. And once again: congratulations on the HC.

Love the slightly grainy texture when you view the large version. It has a sense of going back in time - like a pirate and his tavern wench ! Wonderfully evocative !

Window lighting, is my favourite. Here I can't comment. It is excellent in compo, ambiance & subjects. Your comment on my Female foetus has energized me after the comment of Csuk. Thanks.
