Zoner Photo Studio X: The photo editor for your entire workflow

Thanks for dropping in. I believe in composition over colour and camera over computer. I also believe that the only rule of thirds is that there is no rule of thirds. I also believe that if you set out to take your version of somebody else's composition, you will never experience the true thrill of landscape photography.

    Hi Steve,
I just wanted to add a few words of encouragement to you as you seem very hard on yourself when it comes to composition. As far as I can see, your work on here is top quality, especially the compositions, which tend to lead the eye through the image in a most pleasing way. Above all, as far as I know, they are original compositions, a fact that so often gets overlooked on ePz. Keep up the good work, I've now got you as a favourite so I will be watching. Smile
    All the best,

Having met you for the first time this week, I thought I'd better study your portfolio in more detail. There are some very fine images here, Phil, and, not only are you a very nice chap, what shines through here is both your love of photography and of the natural world. I hope we meet again soon.

    Hi Ian
Thanks very much for your kind words on my pf. You are the photographer on this site from whom I get the most inspiration to try harder to make better images, so to say I'm capped to bits would be an understatement. I have just looked back through your entire portfolio and realise that I have been an admirer of your work since you first joined the site, you having joined about a fortnight after me. Your processing skills are first rate, particularly monochrome, but it is your compositional eye that makes you stand out on a site that increasingly seems to have lost the balance between photoshop and the camera. Your comment on my pf has restored some faith and your images will continue to inspire me for a very long time to come.
    All the very best,

Hi Tony, thanks for your kind comment recently on my portfolio, yours is none too shabby mate that's for sure. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to check your work out but, better late than never, I like what I see very much and will be keeping a lookout for future uploads.
    Kind regards,

    Hi Jane
Thank you so much for the User Award, I was thrilled to bits to receive it. In the 2 months I have been on ePz, my pictures have improved a lot due to the kind encouragement of people like yourself. I can see from your PF that your images have also improved greatly in the time you have been on the site and I look forward to watching that improvement continue over the coming months. Thanks again.

This is a fine body of work from someone I see as a true artist. That you took the time to comment on (and enjoyed) one of my pictures, inspires me more than I can say.

    Hi Richard
I've just discovered your work from the 'Padley Fern' image and felt compelled to comment on your excellent portfolio. I'm pretty new to ePz but I've been looking around and, I have to say, this is, overall, the best pf I've seen, so far. Incredible. Well done and please keep posting your work, its inspiring.

    Hi Jerry
I can't believe that nobody has seen fit to comment on this collection before now. I love the fact that you post pictures that have obvious faults, which you describe with honesty and good humour. None of your images seem over-processed, I even like your HDR pictures, and that's a first! I like the fact that you mention 'just playing about' often but I would also like to see what would materialise if you start taking things seriously. Smile These are a great set of images and I could learn a lot from your attitude to this whole photography lark. Well done.
