Kim

By DaveMead
Hi Folks,

Back in June last year, Linda (Mynett) posted some lovely images of her dog, Sammy after he had passed away. At the time I said, “My sympathy to you and your family for the loss of your wonderful dog. My sheepdog, Kim, is getting on a bit now, she's going deaf and has slowed down a great deal of late. I hope she's around for a while yet but, reading all these messages has made me thoughtful, and I doubt that, when the time comes, I will show the same dignity that you have.”

Well, tonight, Kim is keeping an eye on her flock from a higher place and we have a lost a friend and companion of 14 years.

One day soon, I will tell you where I have been for the past few months but not tonight. Tonight, I am mourning the best photo buddy a man could have (no offence Steve). Rest in peace Kim.

Dave

Fine tribute image Dave.
In time , when the pain is less raw, you will think of Kim and smile.

So sorry for your loss, its terrible when we loose a companion, especially when its been a long term friendship, late last year we lost one of our cats who had been a family member for 13 years. It is indeed a wonderful and moving tribute... MArk

I am so sorry for you, my Boy is 12 and expect I will be in your shoes all too soon. So my heart goes out to you and my peace goes to Kim in her resting place in your heart. May you always be together there. Ann

As a dog owner myself, I really feel for you Dave. Dogs are much more than just pets - some of the best friends I've ever had have been dogs! I know how it feels when their time comes. Collies are such wonderfully intelligent creatures too. My dog Luther is part boarder and part bearded collie and I swear sometime that he can talk!

This is a fine photo. Dogs love to be high up and survey the landscape. I bet Kim had a great life on the farm.

A lovely tribute to your sweet and beautiful dog. I know how you feel, having gone through more than a few precious friends in my life. And Daisy is 12, so she is slowing down too. What a beautiful image this is............Sandy
