Red Sun Setting

By DaveMead
Hi Folks,
Once again, I must apologise for not being around on here very much over the past few weeks. I have had few opportunities to get out and about with my camera due to a combination of bad weather, work on the farm and time spent preparing images for exhibitions, competitions and sale at the various local agricultural shows that will soon be upon us. The good news is the sheep are all clipped and one of my pictures has done rather well in a prestigious competition (I can't say anymore until the results are published).
In the meantime, here's one from back in May on a evening out with phil99 at Saltwick Bay. There were several togs there when we arrived but they had mostly gone by the time I took this one, so they missed all the pools of water turning a vivid pink. As usual, just a few curve adjustment layers to bring the colours out of the RAW file and sharpening for upload.
A final thought: There are literally hundreds of images of the wreck of the MFV Admiral Van Tromp on this site and hundreds more on the interweb as a whole. I hope, like me, the photographers who took them spare a thought for George Eves and John Addison, the two men who lost their lives when the vessel went down.
Enjoy your Sunday evening.
Dave

A great view of the Admiral's Bones, Dave! I finally got a variable ND filter and wonder what you might think?! I hope it's been a good buy and I'm looking forward to learning to use it and hope to get some good results!
