This Water Dragon was one of many that were sunning themselves on logs alongside the Thomson River near Walhalla in Victoria. As long as you approached from the water, they would hang around until you got to about 4 feet away when they would leap off the log run along the top of the water and up the river bank into the rainforest.
This was shot, handheld from a kayak in a flowing river.
