In the Dolomites

By davewaine
Except that it isn't. These particular dolomites are about ten thousand feet lower than the ones in Italy and Austria. They rise out of the sea at Bamburgh to a giddy altitude of - oh - fifteen feet. Paul was having a bit of a relax on a rock.

Ah yes, the mighty Northumbrian Dolomites. (Well the Tour of Britain cycle race regularly includes a King of the Mountains stage at Ovingham...)
Love this one Dave. Paul and the rocks looking mean and moody.

Fantastic perspective. Before reading your blurb I really did think they were mountains.

Only the other night Dave,I was in the Dolomites myself with my wife, after I came home late from the pub !!
An interesting shot, and who says the camera cannot lie.?
(I can't lie myself.I told my wife I was late because the buses were on strike, and she did not believe me !!)

This breaks at least one of those stupid 'rules' of composition. HURRAH!!!
A very James Dean model helps (just so long as you keep him away from Porsches). Mean and moody, excellent black & white. Your best upload yet, Dave.
