Good shot Dave, even the blurred leaf in the foreground adds to the picture. These are difficult little birds to see, so to get such a well framed shot as this is good.

My, that sounds like a big lens! Lovely to see it warbling away, and looks like you controlled the exposure perfectly.

Brian - I agree about the blurred leaf - I wanted to capture the bird AND its enviorment. What you see is a serverley cropped version of the original but I think it still works.
Tony - it is a big lens and it lets you know after humping it around all day

You forgot to mention the very large tripod needed to hold that huge lens combination steady. I reckon that all equates to about a 1200 mm lens plus the cropping afterwards. Excellent shot!
