Supper time

Supper time by Angi_Wallace

Very clever image. I won't ask how it was done, as I'd feel obliged to give it a go, & I have my hands full already with the Nomates. Smile

Men at Work

Men at Work by woolybill1

Typical British workers, 1 to do the job (or stand tutting & making sucking noises), & 2 to supervise.

Nicely shot Bill. Very atmospheric.

Rust. Hey that's Mick's job. He'll be after you with the union, putting him out of a job. Smile

A very alternative view of the beach.

Blue Agapanthus

Blue Agapanthus by pluckyfilly

That's a beautiful, deep shade of blue. & the detail is excellent.

Delicate by pdcche

An excellent close-up image.
Focusing must have been tight as the DoF is extremely tight.
Don't know how you managed it, but it's bang on.
Excellent work.

Out to dry.

Out to dry. by mikbee

It looks like a pulley of some sort. Maybe it's from a really big washing line?

Normal service is resumed today then, following yesterday's diversion from rust.

Keep of the grass.

Keep of the grass. by mikbee

It makes a nice change to see you attempt something without any rust in it.
And quite appropriate to me at the moment, since they just had the PGA ladies open up the road in Hoylake at The royal Liverpool golf club.
Have to say though, I'm somewhat confused as to why the club's not in Liverpool, baring in mind the name. Smile

Very well done. The angles match nicely.
The only place the join is obvious is along the bottom of the hat. Too much blur.

What light

A very spooky atmosphere.
Love it.

Well even cows need a holiday. Smile

I hope it was broken before you did this to it. Smile

That's not bad. It'd cost you more than 2 quid to get your knob pulled 'round our way!!

Excellent Silly Sunday image.

Chateau and Garden

Chateau and Garden by dven

Very well held on the exposure. You could so easily have lost all the detail in the sky.

Rodeo XI

Rodeo XI by steve_evans

A fabulous image, & so sharp. The close crop gets you right into the action with no distractions.

Lou Lou

Lou Lou by jhw

A beautifully shot portrait.

Spider by Majorwatsisface

Nicely shot, & I know from having had a go that macro isn't easy.

It seems a tad overexposed. or perhaps too yellow, & that gices the impression.
Also the focus point is on the back of the head rather than the front (I hesitate to use the word face for a spider).

The tip I got was to focus on manual as best you can, then rock back & forth slightly until it's sharp.

Some of the best street photography I've seen on this site.
Your subjects show a wide contrast from great joy to deep sadness, but always exceptionally well taken.

Added Date: 24/07/2010 - 1:02 PM

Your portfolio is so accomplished, it's difficult to find any photo not worthy of a vote!!

As photographers, we all strive for "that" shot, the once in a lifetime, never to be repeated one. You already have several that any of us would be proud of.

Fabulous work.

Some simply stunning flight shots. The rest of your work is no embarassment either. Excellent.

Added Date: 18/04/2010 - 8:32 AM

I agree with the others, a PF to be proud of.

I have to say, your avatar makes you look like Ghandi. Very serene and at peace. It's good to be on holiday. Smile

Added Date: 28/01/2010 - 11:46 PM

There's some stunning wildlife in your part of the world, you certainly are blessed. Also with the ability to capture it.
Excellent pf.

Added Date: 05/10/2009 - 6:45 AM

There's some very nice work here, especially for one so young (& cheeky. I haven't forgotten your comments on my orangutan shots. Self-portrait in deed!!).

Smile Smile

Junior my @r53, as Jim Royle might say. This is a fabulous portfolio by anybodies standards. You have an incredible eye.

You might want to take a course in flash though, if you're serious about using the pop-up with that lens!! Smile

Excellent work, great humour. It's hard to pick out a standout image & comment on it.

Love the self portraits, a subject I return to myself from time to time (I have another in the pipeline).

Keep on truckin'.

You truly are an artist with your camera... and presumably PS. There is some fabulous work in your portfolio, which I'd say is one of the best on this site.

Added Date: 05/06/2009 - 10:28 AM

You have a great eye for nature. Your shots show great skill & sympathy for your subjects.

I also like your non-nature shots.

It's hard to single any out for comment. I found it easier to comment on the whole, & vote for them individually.

Great work.

Added Date: 04/06/2009 - 6:28 PM

Your wildlife shots a something to be proud of. Particularly those in your showcase. It's hard to single anything out for comment.

Very impressive.

Added Date: 01/06/2009 - 6:45 AM

I was going to pick a few shots to make comments on. But with such a vibrant, varied & fabulous portfolio, where do you start?

Excellent work. I'll just hand out some votes, instead.

Added Date: 09/05/2009 - 12:47 PM

You have one of the most impressive portfolios on the site. The missus gives you a close run for your money, and between you, you've given me a lot of inspiration, food for thought, and kind comments on my own efforts.

Now, anybody wanna buy a camera, cos I can't compete?

Added Date: 18/03/2009 - 8:26 PM

Having had your kind comments on both of the shots I've uploaded, I felt I should return the compliment. However, picking just one or two of your photo's proved too difficult, as you have so many wonderful images. As AlanBW says, very inspiring. I like the simplicity of many of your shot's, the glove series for instance, & the character in the faces of the elderly people in several of your others really shines through. Keep up the good work.
