This type of shot can often fall flat on its face, as there's nothing really there to engage the viewer apart from seeing the same person just in different locations in the frame. This, however, is very well done, as you are interacting with 'each other' in believable ways! This actually looks like a typical scene in a party in somone's living room. I love the humour of it all, especially the 'builder's bum', and the look of helplessness of you in the middle. The selection of tshirts is also well-thought out: I really like the way Homer seems to reflect the pose and expression of you in the middle, and the "It's His Round" slogan is suitably tragic for the poor guy drinking by himself in the background. I think this is excellent, and well done for putting so much thought into it and executing it so effectively!

How long did this take you from inception to finished image?

Geraint - thanks for the constructive comments. I tried to make it look like I was interacting with the other members in the picture, & no party's complete without a heated debate. The expression was meant to be as you describe, so I guess it worked. The t-shrts, although you can't see all of the fronts, all had a beer theme to them.

Hellion - Once I'd had the idea, it only took a couple of hours to shoot & put together. I was surprised at how quickly it all came together.

Maratsuikka - No. I'm one of a set of septuplets. This was taken at our annual get-together!! : )

Best laugh I've had this afternoon, thank you! A great way to introduce yourself to the site - welcome to a world of insanity that you are clearly well suited to. This is clever and well thought out, as well as being very funny.

Oh aye Dave, i can see your bum cleavage, you work in Finance not the bloody building trade! Who do you think you are Simon! He's always flashing his arse at people, he'll get arrested one day!

Welcome to ePHOTOzine, the best photo sharing website in the World. I'm sorry Flickr ePHOTOzine.com is King and it's British!

This is absolutely superb and no it's not over-indulgent. You could do a whole series of images like this one, a book even, an exhibition!

I have to say you really do have a superb t-shirt collection, Primark really is the number 1 shop for printed t-shirts, I buy all my underpants from there (and socks!). A superb effort and a very nice hessian carpet if you don't mind me saying. Just cover up next time!!!!

Andrew.

On ePHOTOzine, as the latest uploads appear in the main gallery as soon as you upload a photo, within 10 minutes you could quite easily receive 10 votes and half a dozen comments virtually instantly, Flickr just doesn't compare!

Thanks to all for taking the time to comment, & vote. I'm honoured & humbled by your kind interest.

Andrew, as I told you on Flickr, from where you cut & pasted these comments you cheat, I shop at Asda. You get a better class of beer related t-shirt from George!!

And Kev, my nan always said green went with anything. Just look at plants!!

Great shot made me laugh. I'm not sure I like `Homer Simpson' breaking the fourth wall but I suppose that, in character, he's interacting with the photographer, rather than the viewer.

Welcome to ePhotozine! I look forward to seeing more of your work.

(And honoured to be *click* number 30. Congratulations on the Readers' Choice!)

All anyone comments on is my curtains & my bum!! LOL.

Glad it's my bum you like & my curtains you hate, rather than the other way 'round. I can always change the curtains, but my bum's here to stay.

Hello David,

Andrew Hurley voted for one of my pictures and said to give you a call. I like this one the most. It must have been hard to get each figure in clean.

Great pics!
