The Moneyer's apprentice

By davey_griffo
Just for a change, some fresh photo's, taken only yesterday. I'm usually playing catch-up (I think I'm currently in May), but I wanted these out, as I promised the people concerned copies. More to come.

These good people are all part of a re-enactment group called Regia Anglorum. You can find them at www.regia.org.

This little fella was supposed to be helping the Moneyer to stamp some new coins. The Moneyer was having some trouble getting his attention, until I told him "he's waiting to have his picture taken". Once he heard the camera go click, he was fine, & got on with the job in hand.

Lovely shots.
It's fascinating how much these re-enactment folks get into their roles.
I remember seeing a load of them in Cornwall a few years ago, and from what I gathered, to a lot of them, their re-enactment personas and lifestyles are much more real than 'real life'.

That was his waiting-to-have-my-photo-taken face Gary.

It's hard to imagine how one small boy can have so much cute. There'll be no more cute kids for a decade, as he has it all.

I was actually trying to find an angle on the Moneyer, were the rope across their area didn't cut across his face. I spotted this little fella, & I just had to, didn't I?
