An uphill struggle

By davey_griffo
I went to Hawkstone Park recently as part of a club project.

I recon this was about the best shot i got on the day.

I'm quite pleased with it, though the focus is on the front of the bike rather than the rider, when seen full size.

Sorry about the black borders, its a requirement for competition entry.

You picked a good spot, a hump like this will always produce action. I suspect a tiny fraction of a second later would have given a more dramatic shot, with more clear air under him.
This is a situation for manual focusing! Alternatively, a technique if there are a number of riders going round is to pre-focus on one and then hold the focus and shoot on the next. You were probably doing one or the other anyway...

I do indeed have more. I plane to sort & process them this weekend, if I can tear myself away from my game for a couple of hours. Smile

Thanks for your kind comments.

Bill - This was my first time at moto-x, & I was trying my hand with the stragglers, as they moved slower. He probably didn't get any more airbourne than that. I tried some of the front runners later who really caught some air. I'll post more when I have them.
