LIVERPOOL - BY MAN ISLAND

By DAVID LYDIATE
The area photographed is known as the strand, near Man Island, Liverpool. The closest structure on the left is the ventilation shaft for the 1934 Mersey Tunnel, the building further back on the left is called The Port Of Light Building, and is part of the Mersey Docks And Harbour Company.
I wanted to capture the atmosphere created by the building lights as well as reveal part of the busyness, by including the traffic streaks.

A good lighting effect.

I like the angle and composition of this, my favourite in your portfolio too. (Think I might have gone with a little more contrast, but apart from that I always love a good traffic light streak image.) CLICK.
