To be honest David, This looks fine as it is, The only thing I might have done as well, Would be to remove or dumb down the tent on the right hand side ( Cars near side door mirror )...!
You have to be real lucky to get decent clean shots at these events, But here you have the legendary 40 with a very atmospheric feel to it, Thats coming from a GT 40 fan big time.....

Nice treatment - very dramatic.
I have had a go at the cloning work. Certainly not perfect - not being a car buff at times I wasn't sure what was car and what was not, in the wing mirror area
but it's not impossible to do it well. You just have to take it slowly and nibble away at the distractions bit by bit using the surrounding tones as your source point. I put a horizontal guide line in so that the transition from ground to sky was at the same level on both sides.

good dramatic viewpoint and lots of negative space in the sky which i love. i think some post processing could add more contrast into the car to boost thye imact and a bit of doging the sky to bring out the lighter tones. also a white stroke about 2 pix would hold the frame out of the dark black background.
its a shame about the few distractions either side the car but they are not too obrusive.

First, dont clone!. Go to Ehotozine TV David and look for tutorials in extractions, - what youre best doing here is extracting the cars completely and the placing it on another background of your choice or making.

I will have a go at a mod later using this technique.

Loaded a mod using the technique Took less than 10 minutes, and used your existing background. Extracted the car, went bact to the original. Marquee tool to select all the sky down to where theres no intrusions, inverse selection, delete. (Make layer deletable by double clicking on it). Then I selected the sky and stretched it a little to make sure it would come down to the middle of the car, dropped the car onto it, sharpen and contrast.
When extracting the car. I tool the side of the cars and grass with it, just below where there are any distractions.

I like the balance. Sometimes it's good to let the sky be prominent, especially if atmosphere is what you are after. The lighting on the car is good too, no distracting reflections and a good key light around the bonnet.
I would straighten up the car for starters it's leaning down to the right. I would also put a small amount of detail back into either side of the plate. And then I'd clone out the background distractions. I'd make a selection using the pen tool to around the car to each side, round the outside and just above the problem areas. I'd then clone down from the sky and grass upwards meeting just above the headlights.
I might be tempted to lighten the headlights too slightly to give them a touch of sparkle. And I'd clone out that flier that's been dumped under the windscreen wiper.
