Frog Eyed

By wamp
A few of my mates had a track day at Outlon Park last Saturday and I thought I'd try and get some shots of their cars. I got a few that I'm happy with from the track, but this is one angle that I liked whilst wondering one of my mates cars in the car park.

I like the small amount of light left in the shot on the far side, but as it might be a little distracting I've uploaded a version without it. Smile

It was a lot of fun doing something else different. I'm not sure how this will go down, but nothing ventured...

Thanks for taking a look!! Smile

V2 for me, as I prefer the comp without the part headlight on the left Smile

Thanks everyone Smile

I can't put my finger on why I prefer the first version, I just do! But I think I'm in a minority! lol Tongue

v2 is the better for me Sean, the left-hand headlamp in v1 is a distraction and the higher viewpoint of v2 I find to be better compositionally.

Like it! Smile

Now, I'm just contrary. I like V1, precisely because of the extra light. It gives it a bit better balance for me!
Ah well, what do I know?
Great shot, whichever's right.

Not sure Sean, #2 is cleaner and slightly more abstract but the small bit of light on the left clearly marks the image as the front of a car (not that it could ever be anything else). The flip side is that it is a bit messy so I guess I'll go for #1. Maybe if you had included the full sweep of the front of the bonnet then #2 would be the winner. Hope this makes some sense.

It does mate, thanks for taking the time Smile

It was parked right up against a truck in front and there were quite a few other cars that I had to move around to exclude around too, so this comp was quite compromised by that really. I have got a front on shot too, but couldn't find an comp in between the two that I could get to work Smile

Cheers, Sean

Here's me liking v1 - how wrong can one man be! lol

Cheers Darren, Cheesey, Nicholas and Mark

It was really good, I reckon I'll go again on the next track day that I can. There were some stunning cars there and the sounds and sights were very good. Well worth it and so close too.

Cheers, Sean

I love it, would look great in any quality car mag. Well done. I like v 1 and 2, but more leaning towards v2
