Royal Navy Black Cats

By daviewat
Went to Leuchars airshow yesterday and boy did it turn out to be a scorcher Smile

I even managed to burn my eye !!!! looking through camera viewfinder with an 8--400mm lens and 2 x converter and panned right into the sun :-( and my wee face is bright red but my right eye is white Smile

Met Roy and David (Kaybee and discreetphoton) and had a good old laugh as well Smile

Anyway for me it was the rotary displays that rocked my boat Smile and the Lynx from the Navy did not dissapoint in the least Smile

Taken on an 8-400mm with a 2 x converter at 400mm !!!!!!!!!

But as you see from the 2nd version the heat was a little too much for some ????????

Overall it was a tremendous day out for me as it was at Luechars I served many a year ago with 22Sqdn and it brought a lot of fine memories back bieng there again Smile

Where does 30 odd years go eh ????? so fast :-(

These guys are un-freaking-believable ...........only 20' between rotars is madness - madness I tell you.
Just a shame they had parked that damned sound van where they had so couldn't see them at ground level.

And you have me wanting to see the Chinook in action now
