An old friend with whom I look forward to meeting again on the 11th Sept at RAF Leuchars.

I have history with this aircraft, having flown in her some years ago whilst I was in the RAF Smile

Not the normal wonderful flying image of her but a static ground shot and with some people taking photos under her it was to show no matter how quite the surroundings wherever she is there are people Smile

Gave it a kind of gritty process to show the military aspect, ie its not always polished and shiny and ready Smile

I love it, she is one of the most important parts of our heritage and the sooner people realise this and she is funded from the public purse the better. Thanks for sharing and hope she remains with us for many years.

Nice one Davie, I have literally just finished reading Vulcan 607 about the bombing of Port Stanley Airfield. A cracking good read if you haven't done so.

Wonderful composition, you did well to get the whole aircraft in and the sky is very interesting and compliments it.
no matter what the surroundings I agree she looks stunning I last saw her at Lyneham Families day this month and got close up personal which was amazing.

I love the gritty processing which reminds us that this was a workhorse as well as a thing of beauty.

lovely image thanks for sharing.
