Hawk Owl ( Surnia ulula)

By davyskid
Another shot from The Five Sisters Zoo .The northern hawk-owl is a medium sized true owl of the northern latitudes. It is non-migratory and usually stays within its breeding range, though it sometimes irrupts southward. It is one of the few owls that is neither nocturnal nor crepuscular, being active only during the day.

Excellent capture of a beautiful owl, nicly shot.
I believe they are doing a bear feeding experience at Five Sisters, I wonder if I could get a nice shot of a bear eating my camera!!
