Love this one Dawn. I especially like the muted green tones and streaks of rust. They set a lovely backdrop for the interesting and well photographed boots and gloves and lunch pain. My Daddy was a coal miner, way back when in Ohio and some in West Virginia. It is a hard life and I give credit to everyone who has ever worked in those mines, no matter in what capacity. Coal was and should still be a great contributer to Americas prosperity.

Think someone must have been very relieved to take these off Dawn but a great composition from you. B/W very effective too.

Lovely image and composition Dawn.

Superb shot Dawn. Its a perfect example of the old saying that 'a picture speaks a thousand words'. This one speaks volumes. Stunning shot.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

A very well observed and photographed still life composition with a wonderful calming feel to it...

Lovely composition, great tones

This is a great shot, it really makes you think doesn't it.

A superb portrayal of a hard day's work, Dawn Smile

It's amazing how a close crop can change the essence of an image!

Don't really know why this still life is so emotionally satisfying - but it is. Maybe the work element, as Andrew said.

GREAT SHOT. Great Image. After just getting home from work myself and not long after taking my working boots off, this Still life say's it all for me. Smile
Great Image Dawn.
Regards Steve.
