The iconic Avro Lancaster Bomber takes to the sky from Blackpools runway 28 to display at Blackpool Airshow 2010. There are only two airworthy examples still left, PA474 seen here and a Canadian based example. This photo is dedicated to all those that lost their lives in WW2, especially those that served with the legendary 617 Squadron who used the Lancaster in the dambuster raides.

In the background is the top of Blackpool Tower, standing 158m hight.

Too tight a crop but to be honest any shot of a Lancaster gets my vote.

I agree a bit tight on the crop but,,,, it is a Lancaster
