I'm not sure about this. It's not a bad shot but they're obviously looking out of shot at something interesting although we have no idea what it is. Because they're looking up so much a good portion of the faces is missing. It has potential but I think it could have been better. Just my humble, in-expert opinion of course Smile

Wat a glorious moment that you have captured here. The atmosphere seems so relaxing, and it is all about a beautiful wedding.
I think that the B&W is perfect here. Great contrast without being too harsh. That is the reason why I don't see a problem with lack of crispness (the picture is clear enough). It is such a beautiful picture of a great moment, that will be treasured for years to come.
(Wish I had such a good photographer when I got married!)
Looking forward to your other photographs!

I see Darren's point but don't agree with it. I think it's a great "reportage" image. The point is that it's a day for teh couple to remember - they WILL know what they were looking at, it made them smile and this pic will be a great reminder of whatever it was, was it a freind waving, someone falling over? Perhaps someon'es hat blowing off - who knows? The moment was caught and they will thank you for it.

I don't think the ever so slight softness detracts a tiny bit, it's on the move, a grab shot and a really good wedding pic.

Very well done, pity I can't click it!

DavidA makes some very good points there - I agree with him. And this is only one of many anyway, probably some more conventional ones, so it's nice to have some that are that little bit different.

The only slight niggle for me is that her dress seems a little overbright but getting the tones right in a B&W when the dress was probably very white (and possibly sheen-ey) too.

Welcome back by the way.
