I have to say, Debbie, that in my opinion (for what it's worth!) your pic is better than his! A super close-up, pin-sharp and good detail and colour. Carol

These photographs are the bee's knees! I wish some of my photographs were this good, so that my wife would be inspired to learn how to use a DSLR. If she did, then that would double the value for money I get from my glass, as she could also use my lenses*. But, no, she is quite happy with her point-and-shoot, thank you very much.

*Mind you, having said that, knowing my wife, she'd probably chose a Nikon camera. My lenses are Canon.

Well that made me chuckle Bruce uses Pentax and originally I had a pentax so could use his longer lenses but now I have a sony and have stuffed myself because I now need to buy lenses to fit mine I would love a fish eye and at least a 500mm lens as the basic kit lens is ok but I want to stretch myself - ouch more expense lol.

V3 appears to be the sharpest and most colourful and is also lit best - in the others the bee seems quite dark in comparison. V2 especially.

maybe the metering's being confused by the bright reflections on the wings?
19 Dec 2008 10:26AM
Love the scenes Debs, V3 is especially good, you've done well with that lens to get these, as Ade mentioned you can get more accurate metering by trying spot or centre weighted, for close ups, fine shots all though, Adrian

Thanks guys I am really pleased that V3 is going so well because as mentioned in the info it is one of my hubby's shots and I love it and wanted to show you guys where I get my inspiration from - he is a fantastic teacher and a great husband too Smile Click here to see more of his work he is an epz member but not as active as me I reckon it is because he has more self confidence than I do
