Imagination book

By Debbiee
My little man read me a wonderful and very imaginative story from this book, only those with the greatest of imaginations can see the story.

Still playing around with adding textures, I know the tshirt isn't brilliant for this image, but it was what he was wearing when he decided to read this book and I knew if I tried to get him changed into something else he wouldn't have posed like this again. So I took the image and worked with it, I did try to tone down the tshirt and even tried to alter the colour but I wasn't very succesful with that, so ended up leaving it as it is, please let me know what you think.

I really like this. The lower half might need some brightening or toning, but his face and expression ar really good. It remonds me os shots by Annaliese, - take a look and see what you can pick up there.

Came back to this and loaded an interpretation with details included in the mod. One mod I omitted in the details was moving him more to the left, off centre, by adding canvas on the right and filling in.

Hope this is helpful, and it gives some ideas for the creative mind to tinker with.

At times like this, you just have to get the shot. I like it. What a great expression.
I also think it would benefit from a little lightening at the bottom of the image, but not too much. Just enough to define things a little more.
I think the composition is good and I quite like the textures too. It gives quite a 'painterly' effect.
I cannot add any criticism really as I would be more than happy with it if it was my shot.

Thank you Guy Grin

And thanks Willie the mod again is fantastic, I did actually try to do the same thing originally the title of my image was going to be "here are a few of my favourite things" and I was trying to fill the book with pictures of his favourite toys but I couldn't get it right, not sure if its because his toys looked too modern for the image or because the angles I photographed them from didn't fit right with the book, but I really love the mod, so much so that I'm going to have an attempt at recreating something similar for my wall.

Depending on which Photoshop version you have, you can either warp or transform the size and shape of objects, and the lower opacity, try different layer modes, - I used soft light just to blend into the pages as realistically as possible.

The other effects are free brushes applied on a new layer and the opacity lowered, - Google free Photoshop brushes and add them to you armoury.
