I've created a few quite dark old fashioned looking images lately so thought Id have a go at a more colourful image. Still using textures as in my previous uploads and done in prety much the same way but this time adding a layer painted in different vibrant colours. I have added some variations (mono and original) as I'm not sure if I prefer it in black and white or not.

Great picture! I think I like the b&w one the most. And I love the texture! Grin

I prefer the b and w version. The treatment adds to the pic whereas in V1 it ends to overwhelm the pic a bit.

best wishes

I just prefer the colour version. Both images are excellent.
Really like the textures and the angle of her face.
Take care

A good piece of manipulation from a simple, but good shot.

I am leaning towards the mono version, and feel that some more work to make the arm either less obvious or disappear would be worth trying.

The reason I prefer the mono over the colour is that I feel theres too much blue, and its too vivid, - a tone similar to the rest of the image might look better.
