Artist with Music

By debbiehardy
I was asked by a local Pianist if I would take his photograph in this particular location. The piano is in the Regency Room of Towneley Hall, Burnley and the painting behind him is of the Petre children of the Dunkenhalgh, Clayton Le Moors.

The Dunkenhalgh is another fine old house, now a MacDonald Hotel.Apparantly it was sold to the council many years ago and all the paintings bar a handful were sold to raise money. I'm not sure how they ended up in Towneley, but my daughter would like to see them back in their rightful place. The Towneley Staff were keeping theitr eyes on her at the weekend lol!

Thankyou, Rob and Julie. It is a lovely room and they don't usually allow photos in it, so I'm pleased that they let me take this.
