Great minds think alike, Debbie. I've been trying the same myself at our local zoo...and binning each and every image! I love the detail you've captured in this most magnificent creature - and not an overexposed spot in sight! Mine have failed either because I've used too wide or too narrow an aperture and because I haven't taken into account the small but very noticeable bright spots that all animals seem to have on them.

Ian, I'd never even thought about how different OR how difficult wildlife photography would be until this weekend - there's so many different things to think about besides the exposure and then they won't keep still either!!! Beaches and waves are easy by comparison!

I did really enjoy it though - I think I've kept about ten of the images I took so it wasn't bad for a first attempt!!!

. . . I've now seen the prints and they are pin sharp . . . great tech skills . . now all we have to do is work on getting them when, how and where you want them! Smile
