Great shot, love the DOF here and I think the large area of black above it helps to anchor the composition.

Larger version worth a look; small version seems soft in comparison (on my monitor at any rate)

Nice work, the horizon feels tilted to me - or perhaps its an optical illusion.

great scene, nice capture. I wish however the 'triangle' on the left was cropped differently.

looks a bit washed out to me - adjusting the levels for the white point should help here, along with a bit of unsharp mask too.

The bit about digital cameras is relevant. I wondered how a 40" LCD TV could show a detailed picture with about 1Mp, until it occurred to me that it's about 4Mp in digital camera terms. That's what fooled people with the Sigma Foveon camera. It was 3Mp in pixel terms and 12Mp in "digital camera" terms.

I dont follow this logic, my 6mp Canon EOS300d produces images which are Image size: 3072 x 2048
this is 6million distinct pixels not colour dots.

If Canon were quoting this in terms of color dots on then surely they would be quoting 18Mp - unless i have misunderstood you.
