Welcome to my little world of pics. Maybe in a few years time, with a lot of practice they will be upgraded to photographs, until then I will keep tinkering away.

  • Short eared Owl

Really love this. Would love to see one flying around in the wild, would be pleased as punch to capture it on camera and over the moon to get something as cracking as this.

Tony - no idea! I can promise you that I didn't clone it out. Thanks for clicks and comments, much appreciated.

    Morning Mike Smile

actually this is a fairly big crop. Was probably 7ft away at the time (Chris in the front of the car and me in the backseat!), well he was using the 200mm lens and I have a cracking 300mm lens - thought it would even us out a bit! ha ha ha

We are very very lucky at Draycotte - if we can get in with the car before the man on the gate arrives. We just park at one of parking bays and sit and wait - the birds are used to people so come rather close, sometimes too close. Smile

  • High Key Iris

You came back to the light side! This is a cracking shot Mike, that soft focus Iris in the background works a treat. The whole thing has a very pastel feel to it.

  • Peaceful

Thanks Keith, is definately different for me. Was all in fun to start with (Sean was messing around with a magnifying glass in front of his teeth - made him look like he had the mouth of a horse. You had to be there! Anyway, things calmed down (well it is a mad house here) and he he struck up his normal watching tv pose and I started clicking, once the camera went off he turned off (hence the closed eyes), made him look peaceful - hence the title.

  • Tit On a Stick (quote!)

Cracking colours to this Chris, gives it a very sharp feel having the background kept in where most bird shots have a soft blur.

Great amount of detail on the blue tit too.

Sandra, I had to go back through his portfolio to see what you were on about then, how funny! I doubt he can ever beat that one but this comes a close second Smile

Chris, I know you haven't saturated this with colour cos I saw the original straight from the camera. Impressive.

Ha ha, he looks like he is rubbing his tummy after eating all his nuts!

This is my favourite of all the red sqiggle shots I have seen on here. Outstanding work.
