Cool Blue

By Dee_licious1
Taken a couple of nights ago at Draycote Reservoir (our usual haunt). One of the first shots I took with the Nikon D70. Loved the cool blues in this (hope you do too). Adjustments made in Raw Shooter Essentials to lower the temp then finished in PSCS2 by adjusting the sky using Curves, then used curves on the lower half of the pic followed by a slight tweak with shadows/highlights. Final stage was to resize, move to a background layer, bevel the edges then add a drop shadow.

Big is better.

Thank you for looking.

Dee

Oh yes! I really like this. Not bad for one of your first shots with a Nikon. Love the tones, crop and presentation.

Hello Dawn, the blue hour features well and the blend with the twilight reds makes a beautiful scene, accentuated by the reflected hues.

Cracking tones here Dawn. The overall blues in the sky reflect in the water, then leading you to just a small hint of orange as the sun sets. Good presentation.

Lovely work Dawn Smile
I have had my D70 almost a year now and not had a shot as good as this yet. Great capture.

A lovely landscape shot. The blue colours and sky are glorious and the rocks help to balance the shot. Well done. CLIK,
