Mow Cop Folly

By Deego
A dark and moody shot of Mow Cop Castle. The Castle was built as a summerhouse in 1754. It was built to look like part of a castle and would have enhanced the view of Rode Hall some 3 miles away.

Taken around 7.30am on Sunday morning, the sun was rising from lowdown behind the folly but I liked the lighting and processed accordingly :o)

Perfect composition. The lighting and toning are excellent. The shot is really much better than the numbers of views and clicks indicate. I really like the black and white.
